about

I think that the most interesting thing about this song is that the drum pattern never changes. Because the drum sound was synthesized so that by rotating a joystick, I could turn the kick into a snare then into a hi hat; Recorded several times in different rhythms through Multitrack, the sounds synthesize into each other and the patterns sound like they continually change, though they do not - just the sounds do.

lyrics

Summer
watching the sky
Using all my senses
Whisper, “so long”
A breath ago, another storm forming
A changing life, a slight of hand away
Summer
We’re watching the sky
Grabbing all my senses
Whisper, “so long”
A distant time, a reaching hand away
A breath ago, another storm forming
A changing life, a slight of hand away
An ending time, another page turning
